| A presentation on the first-year results of the Smart Pest 4.0 partner took place at the Delta Masi Cooperative in Taglio di Po. The project, funded by Measure 16 of the Veneto Rural Development Programme (PSR Veneto), has two main objectives.
The first one is to optimize cereal protection through forecasting models developed by Horta, which are powered by weather stations installed on the participating farms. These tools will make it possible to define the timing and necessity of treatments more precisely, thereby reducing the use of plant protection products and improving the quality of production via a dedicated app.
The second objective concerns the correct management of wastewaters produced by the washing of agricultural machinery. A collaboration with the Agrobox project was initiated for this purpose. Article published on the 20th April 2021, in “L’Informatore Agrario”. |
